WEEK 3

POLAND IT IS

750 km

For staying at the festival I had to work and my job was running along with the plumbers. After my shifts I spent some time with the creative team, a lot of young people making the decorations, and going to the workers party the day before the festival opened. Then when the festival opened I stayed for two days before leaving because I had the feeling this was not what I was looking for.

Later I took the ferry to Utland and from there I wanted to relax a bit but some lady offered me a ride with the good direction, so I accepted her offer. She talked  about her life and about her journeys in the past. From there on I decided "oke, let's go to Poland". I hitchhiked through the night accros Germany with a little bit of sleep in the cars and arrived in Poland the next day, really tired. When I arrived I got to a little town away from the main roads, and searched for a quit place and a really needed a shower.

I spoke with two women on the street and they told me to come to their house. I got some food, a shower and a nice place to put my tent, everything I needed on that moment, p e r f e c t. The next day they took me to a town , where I walked arround and met another polish family. A father and son who live next to each other, they worked a lot abroad and with that money they build really nice houses here in Poland. From here the communication got harder because a lot Polish people don't speak English or any other language beside some Russian.
